みなさん、こんにちは。　スカウティングを経験された方であれば、2/22が「World Thinking Day」であることはご存知だと思います。　「World Thinking Day」は、世界中のガールガイドやガールスカウトによって祝われる国際的な友情の日です。世界中のガールガイド、ガールスカウトとつながるために、自分たちの活動を振り返り、考えるための一日です。　なお、今年の「World Thinking Day」に寄せて世界連盟の理事長からメッセージが発信されていますので、転載させていただきますね。

A message from the World Board Chair

This year’s World Thinking Day celebrates the theme of “leadership,” and is dedicated to the group of girls who demanded change in the Scouting movement in 1909 and asked Lord Baden -Powell to create “something for the girls”.

The World Thinking Day activity pack: Leadership - 110 Years of Adventure,  has been designed to enable groups to go on a time travel journey to learn the history of our Movement and to practice leadership skills. From the moment you promise “to do my best” you step into a world that nurtures and celebrates who you are, and what you can bring to the world around you. 

As we celebrate Lady Olave Baden-Powell’s birthday, along with a host of other activities, we are asking girls from right across the world to join in and share their stories about leadership with us and each other on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with TimetoLead and #WTD2019. 

Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting continues to offer extraordinary opportunities to girls and young women to develop and lead and take action to make a positive change in their communities.

今年の「World Thinking Day」は「リーダーシップ」をテーマにしており、1909年にスカウト運動の変化を要求し、「女の子のための何か」を起こすために、ベーデンパウエル卿を尋ねた女の子のグループに捧げられます。
